Cultura, instituições e sustentabilidade: novos horizontes para a gestão de projetos

Abstract

As information and communication technologies affect society, regulatory frameworks and traditional sources of funding for culture, education and technological innovation come into crisis. It is up to managers, funders and sponsors to adapt to the emergence of new institutional and behavioral dynamics and to contribute to addressing digital disruption. This paper proposes to investigate the scenario of cultural and memory institutions, based on the Swot matrix of the Brazilian Museum Institute (Ibram), understanding that there are four lines of action to promote sustainability and to suggest the revision of models and practices based on understanding of concepts such as: cultural cycle; “knowledge” as a strategic asset; and complementary financing mechanisms; to enable new alternatives of monetization and high-impact social engagement for cultural and memory institutions, and also serves as a reference for formulating public policies aimed at valuing the Brazilian cultural heritage.
