As inovações dos serviços financeiros e o open banking: um caminho possível para acelerar a inclusão financeira de micro e pequenas empresas no Brasil?

Abstract

This article introduces the contributions delivered by the innovations on the financial sector, mainly the open financial system in Brazil known as open banking, as an accelerator of financial inclusion for the Brazilian micro and small-sized enterprises, a segment which will potentially take more advantage of this system. The financial service chosen as the focus of this study was credit, as it is a crucial way to bring financial relief for those small enterprises. The operations of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), one of the first development financial institutions in the world to take part in an open banking ecosystem, are the object of this analysis. This considers that the Bank is also one of the leading promoters of loans for these Brazilian small businesses and has the financial inclusion theme as one of its impact deliveries for the society.
